Aalto Experience Platform is recruiting a coordinator to join our agile team that enhances and promotes human experience research and design. The applicant will join the team at Aalto ARTS, Department of Design, to produce events and communicate experience research activities. The selected candidate will work with the Platform project manager Markus Ahola, platform chair Virpi Roto, Research fellow Teija Vainio, and with the Experience Platform academic board.
Work tasks:
The main duties in this position are assisting in coordination of international events, communicating the research activities in the experience research field, providing content for the social media materials and developing and updating Experience Platform’s web pages and social media channels.
Requirements:
A suitable candidate has
1.      Enrolled as an active student in Aalto University in spring 2020
1.      A bachelor degree in a relevant area (e.g. design, media, HCI)
2.     Demonstrated experience for communication and social media content creation
3.     Good command of contemporary ITC tools
4.     Very good oral and written proficiency in English. Finnish language proficiency is considered a merit.
Key selection criteria:
1.      Good networking and communication skills and ability to interact with the research team and stakeholders
2.     Experience on communication and social media content management
3.     Experience or demonstrable interest in experience design or associated research fields
4.     Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a team member and independently
5.      Availability to start the work in Summer 2020
Salary:
The salary is determined based on the experience and qualifications according to the salary system of Aalto University.
Duration:
6 months, part-time 50-80%
Starting date:
15.6.2020 or as agreed
