Postdoctoral Research Position on Optimization Approaches for Carrier 
Portfolio Management

Applications are invited for a post of Postdoctoral Research Associate 
dedicated to modelling using mathematical programming  and designing 
decomposition-based algorithms for a class of transport optimization 
problems, which has received limited attention so far. These problems 
are related to the management of contracts for a shipper who must build 
a portfolio of contracts with several carriers to cover demand over a 
time horizon. These problems arise when a company sells its products on 
the Internet and distributes them from several warehouses in a 
territory. Such a shipper has to determine how subcontract its transport 
activities to various companies.
