_NATURE OF WORK_

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus (University of 
Colorado Medical School) in the Departments of Biomedical Engineering, 
the Department of Pediatrics, and the Data Science to Patient Value 
Initiative is accepting applicants for a postdoctoral position focused 
on developing systems physiologic modeling and data assimilation.

The primary application areas for this position include lung/pulmonary 
modeling and forecasting to better understand Acute Respiratory Distress 
Syndrome (ARDS) and the modeling and forecasting of blood glucose 
dynamics in clinical settings that include blood glucose management in 
the intensive care unit (ICU) and type-2 diabetes. The goal of this 
project is to combine empirical data with mechanistic physiologic 
knowledge through data assimilation (DA), mechanistic mathematical 
modeling, machine learning, and control theory to produce personalized, 
quantitative predictions that can lead to improved treatments.

The University of Colorado Anschutz Medical campus, Denver/Aurora, 
Colorado, is the largest health research enterprise in the Rocky

_SALARY OR SALARY RANGE_

The fellowship provides a $60,000 stipend, research support resources 
and mentorship. Fellows shall not receive additional revenue for their 
duties during this program. The University of Colorado offers a full
