The Department of Mathematics at NC State University is inviting 
applications for one postdoctoral position.

The postdoctoral scholar is expected to have a strong background in 
applied dynamical systems and/or data science and scientific computing. 
The postdoc will work with Prof. Mohammad Farazmand on data-driven 
modeling and analysis of dynamical systems. We are specially interested 
in data-driven methods for prediction and mitigation of extreme events 
in dynamical systems with applications in rogue waves, extreme weather 
events, turbulence, epileptic seizure, etc.

The position's anticipated start date is on or after August 16, 2019. 
The review of applications will continue until the position is filled.
