Am Institut für Mathematik und Informatik der 
Mathematisch-Naturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Greifswald 
ist vorbehaltlich haushaltsrechtlicher Regelungen ab 01.04.2020 eine 
Stelle als teilzeitbeschäftige*r (50 v.H.) Wissenschaftliche*r 
Mitarbeiter*in unbefristet zu besetzen. Die Vergütung erfolgt nach 
Entgeltgruppe 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.

Arbeitsaufgaben: Schwerpunkt der Arbeitsaufgaben ist die 
Mathematikausbildung für Naturwissenschaftler. Es sind 
Lehrveranstaltungen gemäß LVVO M-V auf dem Gebiet der Mathematik und 
Statistik im Lehrexport, aber auch für die Studiengänge der Mathematik, 
Biomathematik und Mathematik Lehramt zu halten. Außerdem werden 
administrative Aufgaben übertragen.

Einstellungsvoraussetzungen sind eine einschlägige Promotion sowie 
solide Erfahrungen in der Lehre. Das Institut unterstützt eine etwaige 
Habilitation neben der Arbeitszeit. Die fachliche Anbindung an 
mindestens einen der Forschungsschwerpunkte des Instituts wird erwartet.

At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Mathematics and Computer 
Science (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences) there is a job 
vacancy expected to be available from 1 April 2020, subject to budgetary 
regulations, for a part time (50%) Teaching and Research Assistant.

The position on offer is permanent. Payment will be made according to 
pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.

Job Description: The main focus of the job is the lecturing and teaching 
of mathematics to students of natural sciences. The teaching load is 
defined in LVVO M-V. The holder of the position will teach mathematics 
and statistics to students from other subject areas, as well as students 
enrolled in the institute’s mathematics and biomathematics degree 
courses. The successful applicant will also be responsible for 
administrative tasks.

Job Specification: Applicants are required to have obtained a relevant 
doctorate and should have solid teaching experience. The Institute would 
support possible work towards a habilitation thesis that is produced 
outside of the contract’s working hours. The successful candidate is 
expected to contribute towards at least one of the Institute’s key 
research areas.

This vacancy is open to all persons, irrespective of gender. The
