IOHK, a leading blockchain company, is looking for research fellows or
postdoctoral researchers in algorithmic game theory to join their team.
Successful candidates will collaborate with a growing team of
researchers and pursue various game theoretic research directions in
the area of blockchains. IOHK conducts open research and disseminates
results publicly without restrictions in academic fora, conferences, and
journals. The positions are available immediately and will be open until
they are filled.

Successful candidates are expected to follow the state of the art of the
field and also contribute in shaping the research agenda of the company.
Current research interest in IOHK includes

(a) incentives for participating users to organize and form pools for
collaboration, or more generally reward schemes for collaborative projects,
  (b) the study of transaction fees via optimal repeated auctions or by
simpler schemes such as posted prices,

(c) incentives for participating in a p2p network in reliable robust ways,

(d) funding of projects by treasuries (participatory budgeting), and
incentives for achieving appropriate levels of participation and
expertise in large collaborative projects,

(e) mining games and game-theoretic issues related to the tradeoff
between latency and consensus in blockchains.

Candidates should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics
or a related field and have an excellent research record.
