The Center for Mathematical Modeling of the University of Chile offers 
four 3-year positions of Excellence in Mathematics in the research areas 
developed at the center (which include discrete mathematics and 
theoretical computer science, although positions are not limited to 
these areas).

Promising young fellows with an outstanding research trajectory (for 
their career stage) are sought. Salary is competitive (2,700,000 chilean 
pesos per month before taxes). There are no formal teaching duties. 
Candidates will be allocated an annual travel budget (5,000 USD) and 
additional benefits related to the fact that the center is a CNRS-UMI.

Candidates should have a PhD degree on the date of appointment 
(preferably obtained no earlier than January 2016) and demonstrate a 
strong research capability.
