Postdoctoral Positions in Predictive Personalized Public Health

Employer: Penn State University

The Center for Neural Engineering at Penn State University has 2
postdoctoral positions available for a interdisciplinary project on
Predictive Personalized Public Health (P3H), funded by an NIH Director’s
Transformative Award. This project employs predictive modeling and
optimal control strategies to fuse microbial and environmental variables
for point-of-care predictive treatment in the developing world. It is a
transdisciplinary fusion across infectious disease, epidemiology, global
health, genomics, meteorology, computer science, control engineering,
statistics and mathematics, and the collaborating investigators include
S. Schiff, M. Ferrari, M. Haran, F. Zhang, S. Greybush, G. Jenkins, V.
Monga, J. Broach, T. Berry, T. Sauer, J. Paulson, and R. Irizarry.

Ideal candidates would have a recent PhD with relevant background
drawing from Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Meteorology, Data
Assimilation or Data Science, Statistics, Dynamical Systems or
Computational Biology.

Send CV, brief description of research experience, and contact
information for 3 references, to Steven Schiff (sschiff at psu.edu).
Qualified applicants would need to apply through Penn State’s job
website referencing Job #87507. Penn State is committed to affirmative
action, equal opportunity and the diversity of its workforce.
