The Department of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis 
invites applications for one Assistant Professor (tenure-track) faculty 
position starting July 1, 2020. This position is in the area of the 
mathematics of data science. Minimum qualifications for the position 
include a Ph.D. or its equivalent in the Mathematical Sciences or a 
related field and demonstrated potential for performance in teaching and 
research. The Ph.D. should be obtained by the beginning of Fall quarter. 
Duties include mathematical research, undergraduate and graduate 
teaching, and departmental, university and professional service.
