*Tulane University Tenure-Track Positions*
The Department of Mathematics at Tulane University invites applications
for three tenure-track positions to begin in the fall 2020. Applicants
at the Assistant Professor level are preferred but applicants at the
Associate Professor level may also be considered. We seek candidates who
have established or have demonstrated the potential for a strong record
of independent research and are committed to excellence in teaching.
We seek to fill positions in the following general areas:
1. *Computational Mathematics*. We seek candidates in all areas of
computational mathematics and numerical analysis, who will enhance our
Department’s current research, known for modeling and simulation of
biological systems.
2. *Pure Mathematics*. We seek candidates whose work makes connections
to our department’s active research in Algebra, Combinatorics, Number
Theory, Topology, and related areas.
3. *Mathematical Statistics*. We especially encourage applications from
candidates whose research includes a methodological component and who
have an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration.
In all cases, the successful candidates will be expected to (1) develop
and carry out a program of research and other scholarly activities; and
(2) teach and advise students at the undergraduate, masters, and
doctoral levels.
