The University of Nebraska at Omaha is seeking candidates for a
tenure-track, Assistant Professor position in Statistics and Data
Science to begin August 17, 2020. Statistics, data science, and
operations research make up the rapidly-growing Data and Decision
Sciences (DDS) program within the Department of Mathematics.
Faculty enjoy interdisciplinary collaborations with colleagues across
UNO and the University of Nebraska system. Mathematics students can
choose a concentration in any of these three areas at both the
undergraduate and master's levels. The successful candidate will work
closely with faculty and students in the DDS group, teach undergraduate
and graduate courses in statistics and data science, supervise graduate
students, collaborate with local industry, and maintain an active
research program.
