We invite applications for a Postdoctoral Fellow in the School of
Computational Science and Engineering at Georgia Tech. The Postdoctoral
Fellow will work in the research group of Dr. Elizabeth Cherry in the
interdisciplinary area of computational modeling of cardiac arrhythmias.
Potential projects include but are not limited to developing/optimizing
low-energy defibrillation methods, extending high-performance tools for
simulating arrhythmias in anatomically accurate structures, applying
techniques from data assimilation to cardiac modeling and experiments,
and improving models of cardiac arrhythmias.
Qualifications: Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Computer Science,
Mathematics, Physics, or a related field completed by the start of the
position and no more than 5 years ago.
· Skills in one or more of the following areas: nonlinear
dynamics/pattern formation, high-performance computing, development of
mathematical/computational models, numerical methods, parameter
identification/uncertainty quantification, and machine learning.
· Significant programming experience.
· Strong publication record consistent with level of experience.
· Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Application Procedure: To apply, please send your application via email
to Elizabeth Cherry at elizabeth.cherry at gatech.edu including the
following materials: Cover letter describing your background and
