Dear Colleagues,

We are recruiting for a postdoc position with a possible starting date
in February 2021. Could you please share the announcement with your
students and possible candidates?

*Job description:*

We are looking for a talented postdoctoral researcher whose
responsibilities would primarily include the research and development of
algorithmic solutions and their coding for stochastic programming
problems with decision-dependent uncertainty. This position will involve
the design of novel solution methods at the intersection of the
decision-dependent uncertainty, stochastic, and integer programming
fields. The postdoctoral researcher will have the opportunity to apply
the modeling and algorithmic development to exciting application areas,
such as emergency medical applications and energy problems.

We are looking for candidates with experience and interest in:
· Computational optimization including mixed-integer, convex, and
stochastic programming.

· Coding and implementing optimization problems and algorithms in
C++ and AMPL. Experience with Matlab and Python is a plus.

· Presenting and writing up academic papers.

The position will be in the Decision Sciences Department (Business
School) and in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering
(Engineering School) at the George Washington University. The
postdoctoral research will work under the supervision of Professor
Miguel Lejeune and Professor Payman Dehghanian. The postdoctoral
researcher will work independently as well as collaboratively in a
multidisciplinary team environment.

This is a one-year position (with possible extension) with (preferred)
starting date in mid-February 2021.

If you are interested and/or want more information about the position,
please contact Miguel Lejeune at mlejeune at gwu.edu.
