   Faculty Position in Data Science at the Johns Hopkins Mathematical
   Institute for Data Science (MINDS)

The Johns Hopkins Mathematical Institute for Data Science (MINDS) 
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. The successful 
candidate is expected to conduct fundamental research in the 
mathematical, statistical and computational foundations of machine learning.

Outstanding candidates at all academic ranks will be considered. 
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics, Biomedical 
Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, 
Statistics, or related fields, and will be expected to establish a 
strong, independent, multidisciplinary, and internationally recognized 
research program. Commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate 
and graduate levels is required.

Primary appointments will be in the academic Department most appropriate 
for the candidate within the Whiting School of Engineering – e.g. 
Applied Math and Statistics, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, 
or Electrical and Computer Engineering. For additional information see

for Imaging Science, the Center for Language and Speech Processing, the 
Laboratory for Computational Sensing and Robotics, the Institute for 
Data-Intensive Engineering and Science, the Institute for Computational 
Medicine, the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare, the Johns 
Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, the Johns Hopkins School of 
Medicine, the Krieger School of Arts and Sciences, and the Bloomberg 
School of Public Health.
