SPECIES, the Society for the Promotion of Evolutionary Computation in
Europe and its Surroundings, is proud to announce the 2nd round of
SPECIES scholarships. This time the scheme will be open to both PhD
students and recent graduates, who have graduated in the 24 months prior
to the submission deadline, i.e., after April 30 2019.
The recipients of the scholarships will receive an allowance of 900
euros per month to cover accommodation and living expenses to spend
three months at a hosting institution, working under the supervision of
an advisor.
The host institution may provide funds to cover up to three additional
months, and any other advantage they wish to offer (e.g., travel funds).
Scholarship recipients will be selected based on merit by a committee
designated by the SPECIES Executive Board and matched with host
institutions following preferences indicated by both sides (at most one
student per host institution).
We are inviting worldwide applications for candidates and host
institutions. More information including conditions of the scholarships
