Dear Colleagues,

On behalf of the search committee, we are very excited to announce that 
the Dept of Computational Mathematics, Science and Engineering (CMSE) at 
Michigan State University has an open tenure track faculty position in 
the the broad area of mathematical foundations of data science. All 
areas of mathematical data science will be considered. Special 
consideration will be given to candidates with a background in the 
geometry and topology of big data and its application to real-world domains.

CMSE is a new, interdisciplinary department sitting at the interface of 
data science, high performance computing, and domain sciences. Faculty 
in the department come from a broad range of backgrounds, including 
mathematics, statistics, engineering, plant biology, physics, and more. 
We have a vibrant PhD program, and have recently started a very popular 
undergraduate degree in data science.
