A postdoctoral position is available at the University of Texas at 
Austin. The position is for one year and can be renewed for up to a 
year. The postdoctoral candidate will work with me on nonlinear and 
stochastic continuous optimization projects with applications in machine 
learning. More specifically, the candidate will be working in one or 
more subfields in nonlinear optimization, including derivative-free 
optimization, distributed optimization, and constrained optimization.


The candidate must have a Ph.D. in Operations Research, Applied 
Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. The 
candidate should demonstrate a solid background in nonlinear 
optimization and have programming experience.
