[Job-offers-cs] Postdoctoral position in mathematical biology at University of Michigan

Applications are invited for a postdoctoral position in mathematical 
biology in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Michigan, 
Ann Arbor. The candidate will participate in an interdisciplinary 
collaboration developing and analyzing biophysically based models for 
the neuronal regulation of sleep states under the direction and 
mentorship of Prof. Victoria Booth. Preference will be given to 
candidates with experience in developing and analyzing ODE models for 
biological processes, especially neural systems, nonlinear dynamics, 
numerical methods, parameter optimization and collaborating with 
experimentalists. The appointment has a teaching responsibility of two 
courses per year in the Department of Mathematics. The position begins 
in August 2025 and may be renewed annually for up to three years, 
contingent on satisfactory performance. Preference is given to 
candidates who receive the Ph.D. degree in 2024 or later and who submit 
a completed application by December 15, 2024. Salary is competitive and 
there are also opportunities for supplemental summer salary.
