POST-DOCTORAL POSITION IN ALGORITHMS AND DATA STRUCTURES


A 3-year postdoc position is advertised at Technische Universität 
Dresden, Germany, at the Chair of Algorithmics, with a planned starting 
date of October 1st, 2025 (or flexibly a bit later).

Research at the chair is expected to focus on topics in the design and 
analysis of efficient data structures and algorithms. Other relevant 
topics include, e.g., online- or approximation algorithms, streaming 
algorithms, combinatorial optimization.

A PhD degree in computer science and strong publications in theoretical 
computer science (on algorithmic topics) are expected. Expertise in some 
neighboring field (e.g., combinatorics, computational geometry, learning 
theory) is also appreciated.

The candidate is expected to carry out independent research, with light 
participation in teaching, e.g., occasional research seminar, student 
advisory.
