I am (Arnold Filtser) looking for motivated candidates with a strong

mathematical and algorithmic background for both PhD and Postdoc positions
in the broad area of algorithms in the computer science department in
Bar-Ilan University.
Applicants for the postdoc position should have a strong publication record
in theoretical computer science (i.e. several papers in some of the leading
conferences. specifically: STOC, FOCS, SODA, SOCG, ICALP, ITCS, PODC, etc.)

We have a strong and thriving algorithms group here at BIU, and you will
have many further options for collaboration both in the group and nearby.
My research interests include (but not limited to): Metric Spaces,
Low-Distortion Embeddings, high dimensional geometry, Randomized
Algorithms, approximation, and streaming algorithms. Check out my website (
