      The Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing invites
      applications for<br>
      Simons-Berkeley Postdoctoral Fellowships and Simons-Berkeley
      Research<br>
      Fellowships.<br>
      <br>
      Simons-Berkeley Postdoctoral Fellowships are prestigious one- or
      two-year<br>
      postdoctoral positions funded by the Simons Foundation in response
      to the<br>
      COVID-19 crisis. Postdoctoral Fellows will start in Fall 2021 and
      will have<br>
      the opportunity to collaborate with UC Berkeley faculty and to
      participate<br>
      in Simons Institute programs.<br>
      <br>
      Simons-Berkeley Research Fellowships are intended for exceptional<br>
      scientists to participate in at least one of the semester-long
      programs at<br>
      the institute. The Institute will host programs on "Computational<br>
      Complexity of Statistical Inference," and "Geometric Methods in<br>
      Optimization and Sampling" in Fall 2021 and "Causality" and
      "Learning and<br>
      Games" in Spring 2022.<br>
