<p>The Department of Mathematics at the University of Florida
invites applications for one full-time, nine-month tenure-track
faculty position at the level of Assistant Professor to begin
August 16, 2022. This search is part of the University of
Florida's AI initiative that aims to expand the role of AI in
higher education and research (<a href="https://ai.ufl.edu/" title="Unmangled Microsoft Safelink">https://ai.ufl.edu</a>);
we, therefore, welcome applicants whose research bridges the
interface between AI, data science, computational medicine, and
biomathematics. This includes, but is not limited to, mathematical
biology, probability, and stochastic processes, dynamical systems,
machine learning, image and signal processing, numerical analysis,
and optimization. The University is home to HiPerGator, one of the
most powerful high-performance computers at a US public university
(<a href="https://www.rc.ufl.edu/services/hipergator/" title="Unmangled Microsoft Safelink">www.rc.ufl.edu/services/hipergator</a>).
We particularly encourage applicants whose research program can
enhance the collaboration between the Department of Mathematics
and the Systems Medicine Laboratory (<a href="http://systemsmedicine.pulmonary.medicine.ufl.edu/" title="Unmangled Microsoft Safelink"><span style="word-break:break-all;">http://systemsmedicine.pulmonary.medicine.ufl.edu/</span></a>)
and utilize resources available at the University of Florida,
specifically the new HiPerGator AI NVIDIA GPU SuperPod (<a href="https://news.ufl.edu/2020/07/nvidia-partnership/" title="Unmangled Microsoft Safelink">news.ufl.edu/2020/07/nvidia-partnership</a>),
while developing high impact research programs.<br>

For full consideration, applications should be submitted by
November 1, 2021, at which time the committee will begin reviewing
applications. Applications received after this date may be
considered at the discretion of the committee until the position
