The Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the
University<br>
of Michigan invites applications and nominations for faculty
positions<br>
beginning September 2022.<br>
<br>
We seek outstanding candidates for faculty positions at all levels<br>
including assistant, associate, and full professor. Our department
is<br>
highly multidisciplinary, with a balance of theoretical and
methodological<br>
research and applied research interests. From a methodological
perspective,<br>
we will be considering candidates in all areas related to
Industrial and<br>
Operations Engineering, including Operations Research,
Human-System<br>
Integration, Data Analytics, and related disciplines. The many
application<br>
areas in the department include operations management, health and
human<br>
safety, energy and sustainability, mobility and transportation,
public<br>
policy, manufacturing, and robotics. Candidates must have, or be
near<br>
completion of a Ph.D., and must demonstrate a strong commitment to<br>
high-quality research and evidence of teaching potential.<br>

Candidates should provide (i) a current C.V., (ii) a list of at
least three<br>
references, and three summary statements of up to two pages each<br>
describing, respectively: (iii) career teaching plans; (iv)
research plans;<br>
and (v) activities, contributions, or plans related to supporting<br>
diversity, equity, and inclusion. For candidates with prior
teaching<br>
experience, please provide (vi) a summary of course (teaching)
evaluations.<br>
