      We are seeking a highly motivated post-doctoral researcher to work
      on<br>
      the project &quot;Finite and Descriptive Combinatorics&quot; funded by Oleg<br>
      Pikhurko's ERC advanced grant. This broad project focuses on the<br>
      interplay between combinatorics and other areas (descriptive set<br>
      theory, group actions, stochastic processes, distributed
      computing,<br>
      etc).<br>
      <br>
      One of its directions is to explore connections to LOCAL
      algorithms on<br>
      bounded-degree graphs. In particular, researchers with a good<br>
      knowledge and mastery of distributed local algorithms are very
      welcome<br>
      to apply (provided they are keen to learn the needed analytic<br>
      background during their work on the project).<br>

      The starting date is flexible: anytime between 1 January and 1<br>
      September 2022. This is a fixed term post for 4 years.<br>
      <br>
