<p>The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Cleveland State
University has an opening for a tenure-track Assistant Professor
in Applied and Computational Mathematics.</p>
<p>CSU is committed to academic excellence and diversity within the

Mathematics and Statistics offers B.S., B.A., and M.S. degrees
in Mathematics, and an M.S. in Mathematics with a Specialization
in Applied Statistics. The University, College of Sciences and
Health Professions, and Department seek to attract an active,
culturally, and academically diverse faculty of the highest
caliber.</p>
<p>The successful applicant is expected to carry out an active
program of research in applied and computational mathematics. The
research is expected to be computationally intensive and
interdisciplinary, but the area of research extends to
contemporary areas of applied mathematics such as computational
geometry or topological data analysis, as well as more traditional
areas of applied mathematics such as PDEs. The successful
applicant is also expected to seek external funding, to teach
undergraduate and graduate courses to our students in mathematics,
and to participate in the usual department and university service.</p>
