<p>Applications are invited for a postdoctoral research associate
position within the Department of Mathematics at the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Preference will be given to
candidates whose research interests align with those of the
faculty affiliated with the Carolina Center for Interdisciplinary
Applied Mathematics (<a href="https://amath.unc.edu/" title="Unmangled Microsoft Safelink" class="moz-txt-link-freetext">https://amath.unc.edu</a>),
including but not limited to Mathematical and Computational
Methods applied to Biology at all scales, Data Science, Drug
Design and Delivery, Fluid Mechanics, Medicine, Materials Science,
and Virology/Immunology. The initial year of the appointment will
be as the Neil and Sherry Zimmerman Postdoctoral Fellow. After
Year 1, a postdoctoral position within Mathematics is anticipated
to be offered for up to two additional years, pending adequate
progress and availability of funding. The successful candidate
will have a mentoring committee of three faculty and the position
comes with modest teaching responsibilities.

<p>A PhD in applied mathematics, mathematics, or a related field is
required.</p>
