      A PhD student (or postdoctoral) position in Computational Geometry<br>
      is available at the Faculty of Informatics, Università della
      Svizzera<br>
      italiana (USI), Lugano, Switzerland, under the supervision of
      prof.<br>
      Evanthia Papadopoulou. The position is funded by the Swiss
      National<br>
      Science Foundation (SNF) on the topic of generalized Voronoi
      diagrams<br>
      in two and higher dimensions. The candidate is expected to conduct<br>
      research in Computational Geometry and Algorithms. A postdoc
      candidate<br>
      is expected to have a solid research track record in these areas.<br>
      <br>
      The candidate should have or be close to obtaining a Master's
      degree<br>
      (and for a postdoc position a PhD) in Computer Science or
      Mathematics<br>
      and have an affinity with Algorithms. The ideal candidate should
      have<br>
      a keen interest and a strong background in Discrete Algorithms,<br>
      Theoretical Computer Science or Discrete Mathematics, have
      excellent<br>
      academic qualifications as well as good communication and<br>
      collaboration skills. Experience in Computational Geometry is very<br>
      welcome but it is not required. Good programming skills is a great<br>
      plus. Fluency in English is required.<br>
