offering two
positions as full-time PhD or PostDoc researchers. The positions
are associated with research projects at the group within the
areas of discrete and combinatorial optimization,
continuous and infinite dimensional optimization, design,
theoretical analysis, and
computational evaluation of optimization algorithms, game theory
and economics.

The positions come with a teaching load of 5 hours per
semester-week in the broad area of mathematical
optimization but can be adapted to the applicants background. We
are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong

mathematics, theoretical computer science, or operations research,
who completed their master’s or PhD degree or is about to complete
it in 2022/23. Profound knowledge of optimization (algorithms,
mathematical programming etc.) and/or strong programming skills
are a plus but not necessary.
scholar for initially up to three years, renewable for another two
years, after positive evaluation. Salary is competitive and funds
for conference travels, participation in summer schools, and other
activities are available. The tentative starting date is February
2023, but later dates are possible, depending on the availability
