      A postdoc position in discrete geometry and related areas is
      available at the<br>
      Department of Applied Mathematics of Faculty of Mathematics and
      Physics at<br>
      Charles University, Prague.<br>
      <br>
      Starting date: negotiable (any date between May 1, 2023 - January
      1, 2024)<br>
      <br>
      Duration: one year with a possibility of an extension up to two
      years total.<br>
      <br>
      Salary: Ca. 65 000 CZK/month + health insurance paid.<br>
      <br>
      The position is funded and supported by a five year project
      "DiGeo: Fundamental<br>
      Questions in Discrete Geometry" (2023-2027) funded by the Science
      Foundation of<br>
      the Czech Republic.<br>
      <br>
      The project is focused on problems in various areas of and related
      to<br>
      discrete geometry, including convexity questions for point sets,<br>
      visibility, graph drawing, crossing numbers of graphs,
      semialgebraic<br>
      hypergraphs, and Delauney graphs.<br>
      <br>
      The project involves Martin Balko, Vit Jelinek, Jan Kratochvil,
      Jan Kyncl,<br>
      Maria Saumell, and Pavel Valtr.<br>
      <br>
      Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree obtained before the
      starting date and no more than 8 years ago.<br>
      <br>
