We are advertising a 2.5 years postdoctoral research fellowship in<br>
computational geometry at University of Sydney, Australia.
Expected start<br>
date is mid-2023 (can be negotiated).<br>

The successful applicant will conduct research with Joachim
Gudmundsson and<br>
André van Renssen in the Sydney Algorithms and Computing Theory<br>
<<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://sydneyalgorithms.wordpress.com/">https://sydneyalgorithms.wordpress.com/</a> (SACT)<br>
<<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://sydneyalgorithms.wordpress.com/">https://sydneyalgorithms.wordpress.com/</a> group. The aim will be
to design<br>
effective algorithms and data structures in the broad area of
computational<br>
geometry. Pursuing your own research agenda and collaborating with
other<br>
local researchers (such as the members of the Sydney Algorithms
and<br>
Computing Theory (SACT) group and UNSW Algorithms group) is
possible<br>
and encouraged. The<br>
successful applicant is expected to spend 80% on research and 20%
on<br>
teaching.<br>

We are looking for outstanding PhD graduates (expected to have a
PhD by the<br>
start date) with a track record in the field of algorithms and<br>
data structures, ideally with an emphasis on computational
geometry.<br>

Base Salary $97K - $107K p.a., + 17% superannuation<br>
