Postdoc position at University of Osnabrück within the group
Algebra and Discrete Mathematics<br>
<br>
Osnabrück University’s Institute of Mathematics belonging to the
School of Mathematics/ Computer Science/Physics invites
applications for a post-doctoral researcher.<br>
<br>
The starting date for this position is 1st of August 2023. The
contract is given for 3 years. The position is within the E 13
TV-L German public sector pay scale and is offered at a 100 %
base.<br>
<br>
<br>
*Your Duties*<br>
<br>
* Collaboration with the research group of Algebra and Discrete
Mathematic<br>
* Teaching duties in mathematics<br>
* The opportunity to achieve a postdoctoral lecture qualification
is given<br>
<br>
*Requirements:*<br>
<br>
* Completed scientific university studies (M.Sc.) in Mathematics<br>
* Candidates are required to hold a PhD in an area related to the<br>
research groups<br>
* Strong background in one or more of the areas discrete and<br>
combinatorial geometry, combinatorial commutative algebra,<br>
topological, geometric or algebraic combinatorics and discrete<br>
mathematics<br>
<br>
*Additional Qualifications:*<br>
<br>
* a structured and independent approach to work<br>
<br>
The research interests of the mentioned research groups are mainly
focused on commutative algebra, discrete mathematics, discrete and
combinatorial geometry, topological combinatorics as well as data
science.<br>
<br>
The position is available on a full-time or part-time basis.<br>
<br>
