Engineering at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities invites
applications to fill a full-time tenure-track Assistant
Professor position beginning Fall 2024. </span><span>Exceptional
applicants with strong records of research, teaching, scientific
leadership, and creativity may be considered for higher rank and
tenure.</span></p>

</span></span><span>We seek candidates whose research is
problem-driven and grounded in a broad set of methodological
foundations. Individuals whose interests and backgrounds are at
the intersection of Operations Research, Industrial Engineering,
Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and/or Data Analytics
with other fields in Engineering, Computer Science, or
Statistics are encouraged to apply. Applicants should have a
demonstrated interest in applications including, but not limited
to, healthcare delivery and medical decision making,
transportation and mobility, supply chains and service
operations, or energy systems and the environment. We
particularly welcome applications from candidates from diverse
cultures and communities. The Department of Industrial and

</span></span><span>Applicants should hold or expect to complete
by Fall 2024 a Ph.D. in Engineering, Operations Research,
Operations Management, or a related discipline, and have
demonstrated the potential to conduct a successful research
program as evidenced by their publication record and supporting
reference letters. The candidate's expertise and documented
research activities must demonstrate a strong potential to
enhance both the department's research and teaching missions.
The successful candidate is expected to build a strong,
externally funded, highly visible research program and to become
a recognized leader in their respective field. Information on

The ability to effectively teach a wide variety of classes
related to industrial engineering at both the graduate and
undergraduate levels to a diverse group of students is required.</span></p>
