<p>I am excited to announce an opening for a postdoctoral researcher
on an NIH-funded project on the computational and mathematical
neuroscience of exploration and decision-making, led by Drs. Tim
Verstynen (Dept. of Psychology, Carnegie Mellon University) and
Jonathan Rubin (Dept. of Mathematics, University of Pittsburgh). <span>The
project specifically focuses on how dynamics of cortico-basal
ganglia-thalamic pathways map to cognitive models of adaptive
decision-making, and how these circuits regulate information
flow in the mammalian brain. The project includes opportunities
to work with human behavioral and functional brain imaging data
as well as rodent electrophysiological and behavioral data. </span></p>
<p><span>The position is renewed on an annual basis with multiple
years of funding secured. Applicants with a PhD in areas
covering computational neuroscience (e.g., neuroscience,
mathematics, computer science, neural engineering), or a related
discipline, with experience in computing, in dynamical systems,
and (ideally) in computational neuroscience, should apply at:</span></p>
