<p>The Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of
Pittsburgh invites applications for an open tenure-track faculty
position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor rank
with an expected start date of Fall 2024.</p>
<p>We are seeking candidates in all areas of industrial engineering
including, but not limited to, data analytics, simulation, AI/ML,
human factors, and operations research applied to address
challenges in health systems, manufacturing, materials, robotics,
quality/reliability, and other emerging areas. Applicants must
hold a PhD in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
Applicants should also have a strong methodological background and
an ability to conduct impactful, cutting-edge, interdisciplinary
research. Our primary search criterion is the potential to build
and sustain a successful research program. Candidates should also
have evidence of, or potential for, teaching excellence.</p>
<p>Applicants should submit (1) a cover letter, (2) a detailed
curriculum vitae, (3) a statement of research plans/vision, (4) a
statement of teaching plans/vision, (5) up to three representative
publications, and (6) a list of three or more professional
references. </p>
