The Max Planck Institute for Molecular Cell Biology invites
applications for Postdoctoral Researchers in Mathematics and
Applications. Specifically we are looking for mathematicians
interested in developing the field of mathematics with a view
towards open problems in the life sciences.<br>

We are interested in candidates with knowledge in a wide range of
mathematical disciplines:<br>
• Applied Algebra/Geometry/Topology<br>
• Computational Algebra/Geometry/Topology<br>
• Algebraic Statistics<br>
• Discrete Mathematics and Combinatorics<br>
• Data Science and Bioinformatics<br>
• Mathematical Biology<br>
• Differential Equations, Stochastics and Mathematical Modelling<br>
• Mathematical and Theoretical Physics<br>

Successful candidates would closely collaborate with one or more
of the mathematics research groups of the institute: Heather
Harrington's group on Algebraic Systems Biology, Türkü Özlüm
Çelik's group on Mathematical Structures and Applications, and
Aida Maraj's group on Algebra in Data Analysis. Please refer to

Your qualifications:<br>
• A PhD degree in Mathematics or related fields is required.<br>
• Previous experience and a strong track record in the fields
listed above will be considered positively.<br>

for 2 years, shorter or longer terms possible depending on project
requirements. Starting date is flexible.<br>
