    <p><span>The Mathematical Methods for Interdisciplinary Computing
        Center (MMICC) within the Institute for Information Sciences
        (I2S) at the University of Kansas is looking for a Post Doctoral
        Researcher to contribute to the areas of parallel scientific
        computing, with experience in several of the following areas:
        mesh generation, numerical optimization, numerical partial
        differential equations, and parallel computing.</span></p>
    <p><span>The Researcher will work with Dr. Suzanne Shontz's group
        and will join a project developing parallel high-order meshing
        algorithms from medical images and parallel high-order numerical
        finite element methods and near real-time software for
        computational simulations involving cardiac ablation treatments
        for arrhythmias.</span></p>
    <p><span>Requirements: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Applied
        Mathematics, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field;
        familiarity with several of the following topics: mesh
        generation, numerical optimization, numerical PDEs, parallel
        scientific computing; excellent programming skills for
        scientific computing; and excellent mathematical skills for
        scientific computing. </span></p>
