        Circulation. Your work will contribute to the wider theme of
        "Mathematics of Planet Earth", engaging in topics such as
        critical transitions, metastability, climate system response to
        perturbations, and machine learning applications in climate

        </span><span>We are looking for an ambitious and creative
          researcher for a position of Research Associate in the area of
          applied mathematics with a specific interest in Earth's
          Tipping Points. The post is funded by a project of the
          European Space Agency involving three UK partners.  The
          project delves into the investigation of climate variability,
          and especially tipping points for present climate, with a
          focus on the definition of accurate early warning indicators
          for detecting proximity to tipping behaviour in model and
          observational datasets.</span><span class="white-space-pre"> </span>
