Argonne National Laboratory invites outstanding candidates to
apply for the 2026 J.H. Wilkinson Postdoctoral Fellowship in
Scientific Computing. The Wilkinson Fellowship fosters
cutting-edge, high-impact research in applied mathematics and
scientific computing, and has a distinguished history of launching
long-term research careers at the highest level. The fellowship
supports exceptional early-career scientists engaged in
trailblazing research in scientific computing and grows the next
generation of leaders in applied mathematics. Past fellows have
gone on to influential positions across academia, national

<p class="p1">Areas of interest span the applied mathematics,
scientific computing and computational sciences and include
algorithmic differentiation, computational fluid dynamics, data
assimilation, data science, discretization, linear algebra,
machine learning, meshing, modeling and simulation, solvers,
multifidelity/ multilevel/ multiphysics/ multiscale algorithms,
quantum computing, operations research, optimization, statistics,
stochastic systems, and uncertainty quantification. Additional

a second year. Fellows receive a highly competitive salary and a
