<p class="MsoNormal">The Department of Industrial and Operations
Engineering (IOE) at the University of Michigan (U-M) welcomes
applications for faculty positions at all ranks (assistant,
associate, and full professor) for an appointment beginning
September 2026. Our multidisciplinary department integrates
theoretical, methodological, and applied research interests. We
are seeking individuals who are dedicated to excellence in both
graduate and undergraduate education, capable of establishing
independent, externally-funded research programs in their fields
of expertise, and who embrace the global outlook, leadership
focus, and service commitment that are fundamental to the culture
of Michigan Engineering.<span> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><b>Qualifications:</b></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">You have a Ph.D. and show a commitment to
high-quality research and evidence of teaching success and/or
potential, as appropriate. You are dedicated to excellence in
graduate and undergraduate education, and will develop impactful,
productive, and innovative research programs. We welcome
candidates at all levels (tenure-track Assistant Professor,
Associate Professor, and Full Professor) from all areas related to
Industrial and Operations Engineering, including Operations
Research (particularly Applied Probability and Stochastic
Simulation), Data and Decision Analytics, Artificial Intelligence,
and related disciplines. Our department's application areas
include energy & sustainability, health & human safety,
manufacturing, mobility & transportation, operations
management, public policy, and robotics.</p>

items: (1) a current C.V., two summary statements of up to two
pages each describing, respectively: (2) career teaching plans;
(3) research plans; and (4) three letters of recommendation
submitted directly by your references. For candidates with prior
teaching experience, please provide (5) a summary of course
(teaching) evaluations. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling
