</span>In Cloud Content Security Lab at the Huawei Finland
Research Center, our mission is to protect the online safety of
millions of users. We are looking for a<span class="white-space-pre"> </span><span><strong>motivated AI
Security Researcher specializing in Machine Unlearning</strong></span><span class="white-space-pre"> </span>to develop robust solution to
ensure safety in LLM or Multimodal LLM.<span><br>

</span>In this role, you'll be at the forefront of this mission,
responsible for designing and implementing cutting-edge neural
network architectures, algorithms and methods for unlearning.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, external
research partner and have the opportunity to publish
groundbreaking research, making a direct impact on a safer
digital environment.<span><br>

responsibilities:<span><br>

<li>Conduct research in machine unlearning to develop novel
architecture and methods for effective “forgetting” or
“correction” while maintaining utility.</li>
<li>Design and develop comprehensive evaluation methodology,
metrics, and benchmark for machine unlearning to measure
effectiveness of the unlearning methods and side effect in LLM
or Multimodal LLM.</li>
<li>Provide insights on the latest advancements in the field of
machine learning and propose research ideas.</li>
<li>Collaborate with top research groups in this field.</li>
<li>Present complex research findings to both technical and
non-technical audiences, including legal and product teams and
design the end to end solution collaboratively.<span><br>

<span><strong>Qualifications:<span><br>

<li>Excellent experience in deep learning neural network
design, know-how with a strong background in Explainable and
Trustworthy AI.</li>
<li>PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence a related
field with a focus on efficient and robust neural network
architecture design, machine learning, AI security and
safety.</li>
<li>Proven experience with machine unlearning research,
including a strong theoretical understanding of the
state-of-the-art algorithms and their applications.</li>
<li>Proficiency in programming languages like Python and
experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch,
TensorFlow).</li>
<li>Track record of publications at top-tier conferences with
a focus on unlearning, AI Security, Privacy (NeurIPS, ICML,
CVPR, USENIX, ACM CCS, S&P, etc)</li>
<li>Deep knowledge of common AI architectures (LLMs, VLMs,
Transformers, CNNs, Diffusion Models).</li>
<li>Self-driven, strong problem-solving, analytical, and
communication skills.</li>
<li><span class="white-space-pre"> </span>A passion for
research and a desire to push the boundaries of reliable,
robust high performance AI system.<span><br>
