Hi all,

We (Science-IT) are hiring a new person to our Research Software
Engineer team:
  https://www.aalto.fi/en/open-positions/research-software-engineer-supporter

If you enjoy computational research and the university environment,
but want more stability, work-life balance, and collaboration than the
academic career path, this is the place for you. This position has
more of an AI/Machine Learning emphasis than our previous ones, but
still the main emphasis is a good balance between interest in science
and technology.

A "research software engineer" is a researcher who is focused on
the computing, software, and data more than making as many papers as
possible. At Aalto, we hire you and practically, you keep making
research possible by working with others. Of course, you still have
some freedom for some side-projects, continued education, and so on.

If this sounds interesting to you, but you aren't quite ready to make
a career shift yet, attending any of our workshops or Nordic-RSE
(nordic-rse.org) events would be a good way to prepare for this kind
of future.

If you have any questions, let me know.

Thanks,

- Richard on behalf of Science-IT
