Applications are invited for a *Lecturer/Senior Lecturer post in 
Mathematical Optimization, Data Science*. The School is seeking to 
appoint an active and committed researcher in the emerging areas of 
modern Mathematical Optimization, such as Optimization for Machine 
Learning and Data Science, Stochastic Optimization, Distributed 
Optimization, and Uncertainty Qualification.

The successful candidates will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Mathematics 
or Computer Science, a first-class research record in Mathematics, and a 
commitment to teaching, along with excellent communication skills. 
Senior lecturer candidates will demonstrate experience in attracting 
external funding.

Salary: £41,526 - £77,108 (Lecturer full time starting salary is 
normally in the range £41,526 to £49,553. With potential progression 
once in post to £55,750 a year). (Senior Lecturer/Reader full time 
starting salary is normally in the range £51,034 to £59,135. With 
potential progression once in post to £77,108 a year).
