The Huawei Cloud Business Unit at the Munich Research Center is looking 
for a Team Lead and multiple (Senior) Researcher positions in 
Mathematical Programming.

Main Responsibilities

-       Research, design, implement, and improve a highly-efficient 
general-purpose optimization solver for Linear Programming, Mixed 
Integer Programming, and Constraint Programming problems
-       Convert customer demands into solver features end-to-end, 
including definition, implementation, testing, and documentation
-       Code reviews, presentations (internal and public)

Requirements

-       M.S. or Ph.D. in operational research, mathematics, computer 
science, or similar technical field
-       In-depth understanding of optimization algorithms for linear 
programming and mixed integer programming. Extensive experience in 
implementation of these algorithms
-       Experience in algorithm design and implementation in C/C++
-       Good knowledge of Python and Java is a plus
-       Experience in concurrent/distributed/parallel computing is a plus
-       Direct experience of using commercial or open-source 
optimization solvers, such as SCIP, CPLEX, GUROBI and CBC is a plus
-       Experience in industry problem solving is a plus
-       Working experience in major commercial optimization programming 
solver companies is highly preferred
-       Major contributors or project leaders of open-source 
optimization solvers like SCIP, CBC are highly preferred
-       Major contributors or project leader of high performance 
mathematical software, numerical linear algebra package (commercial or 
open-source) are preferred
-       Fluent in written and spoken English
