*About This Role:***

The Intelligent and Sustainable Process Systems Lab in the Tim Taylor 
Department of Chemical Engineering at Kansas State University has an 
immediate opening for a *Fellow (Post Doc)* researcher. The position 
focuses on developing enabling technologies designed to enhance 
automation, control, and real-time decision-making for large-scale 
process systems in sustainable and smart manufacturing. The candidates 
are expected to have a PhD in any area related to process systems and 
control, with prior expertise and/or a strong interest in machine 
learning, optimization, and computational tool development.

*Minimum Qualifications:***

Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical 
Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or Computer 
Science**

*Preferred Qualifications:***

·- Advanced knowledge of optimization or control theory

·- Experience with modeling languages and scientific computing (using 
MATLAB or Python)

·- Publications in control systems, process optimization, surrogate 
modeling, or mathematical programming

·- Experience with artificial intelligence, multiscale modeling, and 
computational fluid dynamics

·- Ability to meet project deadlines
