[Job-offers-cs] Call for Research Fellow Position at University of Calabria (Italy)

Within the National PRIN project "*Large scale optimization for

sustainable and resilient energy systems*",

we are looking for a candidate to join within the research team at the
University of Calabria (Italy) composed of

Patrizia Beraldi, Angelo Algieri, Giovanni Giallombardo and Giovanna
Miglionico. The project leader is

Prof. Antonio Frangioni of the University of Pisa.



The research fellowship ("Assegno di Ricerca" in Italian) will last one
year and is expected to start in January-February 2024.

The aim of the research is to design and solve stochastic programming
approaches for the optimal management

of energy systems integrating production from renewable energy sources and
storage devices.



Candidates must have:

· Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or Engineering;

· Good background in Operations Research

· Good programming language skills (e.g. in C, C++, Java, Python …)

· Experience with the use of mathematical optimization solvers (e.g.,
CPLEX, Gurobi, Xpress)

· Proficiency in English



PhD is not mandatory, but represents a preferred title.
