Hi all,

On 25-26 October 2023 (afternoons), there will be an online "unconference" hosted by the Nordic Research Software Engineers organization. If you are interested in the software/data/computing behind the research, and wish to talk to other like-minded people, attend and/or submit an event.

The themes for this year are "hidden gems" (cool things more people should know about) and "paper cuts" (little problems you wish there were solutions for) - anything about research software, scientific computing, data, HPC, and so on.

As an "unconference", this is an informal event. Anyone can suggest talks/discussions/workshops/demos, and they don't have to be long or complex - impromptu is expected! This really is the kind of thing that you can talk about your favorite tool and lead a little discussion - maybe you don't even know all the answers but want to ask the question. They can be submitted either in advance or during the event, and we'll assign space based on interest.

"Research software engineer" describes a researcher who is more interested in the tech than the papers. This event is a great way to network if you feel this describes you. You can read more at https://nordic-rse.org/about/rse/ .
